Things that have gone wrong in the few days before...
Broke our large mirror, wasted a setup day finding a new one. Overheating problems in the box caused the projector to shut down. Drilled some holes into the back, so hopefully that fixes it Had to relocate pixemo at the end of the second day after perfectly aligning everything. :( Our projection surface somehow got badly warped so have to somehow get another before the grad show Got a...

IR Light
We decided that we really wanted to get finger tracking working properly, and this probably required using IR tracking of some kind. We bought about 50 leds from ebay for about $4, and we are going to have a go of soldering them to see if they work well! :D

Fiducial Markers
Had a good idea for the fiducial markers. Will get some large foam craft balls, cut them in half. Top side with have the faces painted on (as per emotions), bottom flat side will have fiducials. Will need to get the right size so they fit comfortably in your hand.

Problems at this stage
Lack of ventilation, worried about it overheating with the laptop, projector and all inside. Have some ideas for solutions, involving drilling holes into the walls, placing a small fan inside, etc. As the box was made to make it portable, we had the idea to hinge the sides, then they would slot together with the lid on top to hold them in place. Very good and basic list of things needed to make a multitouch table. Probably better to coat the surface to make it a compliant surface as found on the NUI forums as it will be more accurate than tracing paper.
